nature's song

I've been making my own feather hair jewelry for a long time now, and am finally putting it all out there for the world to see. These feathers are absolutely perfect for a one-of-a-kind gift for the free-spirited, nature-loving girls in your life. Once you clip them in, they make any outfit more festive and special. Nature's Song Spirit Feathers can easily clip in to any hair type, and come in an array of different colors and styles.  Please check out my facebook page to order by email or check out my Etsy store.

les gazelles

About a year or so ago, my lovely mamacita gave me the book Gypset Style by Julia Chaplin.  It contains so many gorgeous photos of famous gypsetters (a hybrid of gypsy and jet-set) and exotic locations.
The part that stood out the most to me, however, was the story of the Mignot sisters.  Originally from France, they packed up their family and became nomads - living everywhere from Bora Bora to Ils Saint-Louis before settling in Sayulita, Mexico.  There, they live a beautiful life surfing, sailing around in their old, wooden boat, and running their boutique, Les Gazelles, where they sell - amongst other things - their trademark black pearl jewelry.
Their motto is "Le vie est belle" (life is beautiful), and by the looks of these photos, they embody that saying perfectly.  We should all take note from the Mignot family, and strive to be a little more free-spirited and carefree.

rejoice the hands

I stumbled upon Rejoice the Hands a few months ago, and was completely enamored by all the unique bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings.  The rustic feel of her work is the exact aesthetic I've been lusting over lately, and I guess I'm not the only one as Free People has also started carrying the line.   Also, all of Rejoice the Hands pieces are handmade, which means you'll be getting a one of a kind piece that is sure to be a staple in your accessory collection for years to come.

luv aj

Here are some photos and a video featuring Luv Aj's Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook, and I couldn't love it more.  I'm obsessing over the jewelry, styling, photography... And the fact that we have the same nickname, AJ :).
Amanda Thomas, the designer, has been creating jewelry since 2005, and, at only 23 years old, owns a great business with a large celebrity clientele.  I love how Amanda effortlessly mixes edgy and feminine designs, and the unique metals she uses - such as brass, nickel and copper - are right up my alley (why would you only choose one when you could mix them all?).  I would love to add some of her pieces to my jewelry collection; here are a few of my favorites:
