Even though I don't think a lot of these looks are very wearable, I can always appreciate a good warrior princess look.  The Barbarella vibe looks great in the neutral hues as well.

I loved the playful cutouts, sheer pieces, and the overall tough-but-sexy tomboy look(motocross-chic, perhaps?).  I'm sure many people will be inspired by this collection, and it will translate into all of our wardrobes in some way or another this coming Spring.

the goods - target for missoni

 Thanks to my loving boyfriend, I managed to get a ride off the island we're staying on to the closest Target (which wasn't very close at all - I had to do some serious begging) to get my hands on some of the much hyped about Missoni for Target pieces.  Everything was pretty much picked over by the time we got there - there were absolutely no small sizes to be found, but I did end up with some cute things none the less.  I'm especially excited about the silk head scarf that I'll be rockin' on the beach today, the big, cozy men's sweater that I'll be living in all winter, and some new flatware for the kitchen.  I hope everyone got the pieces they were looking for.. All the madness was definitely worth it.

A few essential items for our trip to Hilton Head Island.  I can't wait to just relax and forget about the real world for a week.  I guess I'm still getting used to this whole 9 - 5 thing, and trying to figure out life post-college (which is much, much harder than I could ever imagine).  I feel like I need to find some sort of balance in it all.

Anyway, enough with all that.  I hope to come back with loads of photos and inspiration - I've missed updating this little site so much.  I won't let that long of a hiatus happen again.

abandoned castles

While cruising around the beach after brunch with my lovely mother, we passed this old, abandoned building that overlooks the water.  I always wondered about it as a child, but had forgotten it since.  I was intrigued, so we decided to snap a few photos on the property, and when we peeked in the windows we found broken bottles, torn mattresses, broken chandeliers.. Everything was in ruins.  I don't know what happened there, but even in the daylight, it gave us chills.  However, weird noises and creepy vibes aside, I can always appreciate an eerie beauty of a building.
