These shorts exemplify my continued love affair with anything that's little and lacy.  I've had them for a while now, but have just recently started playing around with different ways to style them.  Since they're pretty short (and my heels are border-line stripper shoes), I think the baggier shirt balances them out.  Such an easy transitional look since this Florida weather can't quite seem to make up its mind on whether it's Winter or Spring.

A few photos from a day trip to the St. Marks River, a National Wildlife Refuge that's home to so many amazing creatures just outside of Tallahassee.  We had way too much fun wandering around, getting up close and personal with some scary gators, and sampling the local cuisine.  I also loved stomping around in my old cowboy boots - they may not be all over the runways, but who cares?  I think they're fun, comfortable, and cute with the lace and crochet trends that are all over the place.  I'm going to rock them a lot more often.  Many more photos from this little excursion to come..

All my Christmas shopping is done for the most part, but there are still a few little things I want to pick up for pretty some special people.  I wore this out for some last minute shopping, and I couldn't have been more comfortable.  The leather shorts (a trend I first mentioned here) were so easy to pull off, and gave the outfit a unique touch.  I definitely recommend picking up a pair if you haven't already (perhaps for a little Christmas present to yourself? No judgement here..).
