indian brave

[Truly Madly Deeply navajo print top (similar one here).  True Religion Bobby Cutoffs.  Gianni Bini Cassie Pump.  Tarnish Multi Zip Crossbody Satchel.  Vintage Woven Belt.  Free People, Alex and Ani, David Yurman and Vintage Jewelry.]

As soon as I laid eyes on this overly-huge-yet-cropped Navajo print shirt, I was sold.  It's the perfect thing to throw on after you've been in the sun all day and the air conditioning just seems way too cold in comparison (does anyone else get like this?).  I was also naturally obsessed with the print, as Navajo designs have been all over the place.  To me, the look has that light-hearted appeal that's perfect for summer.  You can find tons of similar pieces at Urban Outfitters if this top tickles your fancy (here's a few to get you started).

take me to the river

[larkin & larkin ring. kimchi blue lace tee.  true religion shorts.  f21 sweater.  ray ban clubmaster sunglasses. cheap monday necklace.  my old cowboy boots.]

A few photos from a day trip to the St. Marks River, a National Wildlife Refuge that's home to so many amazing creatures just outside of Tallahassee.  We had way too much fun wandering around, getting up close and personal with some scary gators, and sampling the local cuisine.  I also loved stomping around in my old cowboy boots - they may not be all over the runways, but who cares?  I think they're fun, comfortable, and cute with the lace and crochet trends that are all over the place.  I'm going to rock them a lot more often.  Many more photos from this little excursion to come..

Here's a little song by the amazing Talking Heads.  I was humming this in my head the whole time, so it's only right to try to simulate the trip as best as I can on my blog for you, my lovely readers :)
