girls go by dressed in their summer clothes

Loving this sexy, playful Elle Italia photo shoot with Elisa Sednaoui.  Her soft makeup and hair juxtaposed with the hardcore, rock and roll outfits makes for a great editorial in my opinion.  All the leather, lace, studs and frayed denim will definitely serve as style inspiration for looks that will transition smoothly from Winter to Spring.

suede booties: splurge vs. steal

During my daily internet style stalking, I kept noticing Kate Bosworth's amazing booties that she seems to have on everywhere she goes.  After some searching, I discovered the booties were by the amazing Isabel Marant, and, even if I had enough extra cash lying around, they were no longer in stock.  I love Kate's style, and she clearly proves that the booties are versatile enough to wear with an array of looks, so I made it my mission to find some look-a-likes.  The closest pair I found were from Target and only $34.99.  They also received great reviews, so, needless to say, I bought them as fast as my fingers could type in my credit card information.  I plan on wearing them with skinnies and sweaters now, and when the weather warms up I'll rock them with everything from little dresses to cut offs.  Here's some extra style inspiration if you decide to splurge or steal :)

style stalker

Style Stalker is beyond lust-worthy for me; I want/need every single piece they've made.  It's the perfect fusion of sexy/bohemian/rocker/glam.  I envision so many of the pieces fitting seamlessly into my current wardrobe (especially with these for the more summer-ish items).  Isn't that enough justification to splurge?

And wait - there's more!  Here's a really awesome new video from Style Stalker's new line.. Such a cool brand.

lace + pantyraid

[silence + noise lace dress.  mossimo supply co. boots.  random sweater.  deena & ozzy chain purse.  staring at stars scarf.]

I wore this outfit to see PANTyRAiD a few weeks ago, but have just now gotten around to uploading the photos.  The weather was still rather chilly, so it was fun to incorporate lace (a big Spring trend) into my outfit by pairing it with a sweater and motorcycle boots.  Despite the cold, the show was a great time to say the very least, and I can't wait to see them again.  If you're lucky enough to catch them, be sure to wear comfy shoes because you'll definitely be dancing to some awesome beats all night.

short/sweet

My favorite perfumes from left to right.. Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, Viktor & Rolf's Flower Bomb, and Philosophy's Amazing Grace.  I love trying new fragrances, but I always find myself going back to these three.  Each are sexy and feminine, but very different.  I love to wear them depending on what mood I'm in.  What are some of your favorite perfumes? I might just try a new one...

eclectic inspiration

I've always been obsessed with interiors that look mismatched; the ones with items ranging from vintage to modern to just obscure, little oddities.  It takes a lot of creativity to take a mess of different finds and make them live in harmony in one home (or on one wall), and it's something I strive to achieve in my own place.  I love that interesting conversation pieces give a house personality, and make it feel uniquely your own.  These are some of my favorite photos for home inspiration.  They have that perfect, eclectic vibe I just can't get enough of.

shoe porn

I received my Jessica Simpson "Dany" Platforms for my birthday last September, and they have quickly become one of my favorite pairs of shoes.  They take the laid-back vibe of clogs and mix it with the sexiness of stripper heels platforms; I really couldn't ask for more in a shoe.  Sky-high platforms were all over the runway for this upcoming Spring, so I really couldn't help myself when they went on sale for $48.  I went with the gray snake skin, and couldn't be happier.  Serious shoe porn in my opinion.

Buy yours here.

valentine's inspiration: lingerie love anytime

I'm a definite love of lingerie, and even more-so when Valentine's Day approaches.  The temptation to buy every sexy, little piece of  silk, satin and lace haunts you everywhere you look, and all those online holiday sales definitely do no not help.  I'm usually pretty good about guilt-tripping myself out of splurging since I won't wear it a ton (I mentally chant "Think about all the fabulous SHOES you could buy, Ashley!"), but I've finally found myself a little loophole.
There are so many gorgeous pieces of lingerie that can double as dresses if layered properly or worn as a sexy peek-a-boo piece under a slouchy tank top.  So now you can splurge (without guilt) on lingerie with the confidence that you'll be able to wear it multiple ways!  You have to love fashion for it's endless possibilities..

I'd love to wear the Corset Ruffle Bottom Slip with a slouchy, gray cashmere sweater, the Finale in Fringe (Huge Spring trend alert!) Slip with a tight, nude mini-dress or a bathing suit underneath, and the Viscose Voile Slip with a boyfriend blazer or long sweater.

These pretty, little things would look great under a slouchy white tank top with skinny jeans and some killer heels.. Like so:

Hope this gives you some inspiration to rock your lingerie in different ways; I know I'll be doing it. I hope all you gorgeous people out there have a wonderful Valentine's day weekend.. And whatever your relationship status may be, remember to treat yourself!

one to watch: wes gordon

In honor of New York Fashion Week, I thought I'd feature some looks from an up-and-coming designer we should all keep our eye out for.  Wes Gordon has an impressive resume to start with, as he studied under such greats as Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford, and his designs have been picked up by Saks, Harrods and Bergdorf Goodman.  I love that his style exhibits such graceful femininity, yet there is an attention to detail that is rarely seen outside of menswear.  I'm so excited to see what he has in store for us this year.
